Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs: EPF i-Invest Users

Definition of Akaun 55:

Savings from Account 1 and 2 will be consolidated into Akaun 55 for members who reach the age of 55. Members can withdraw all or part of the savings from this account at any time.

Definition of Akaun Emas:

Any contributions received by EPF members (from employment) after age 55 will be parked under Akaun Emas. Members can withdraw all or part of this savings from this account when they reach the age of 60.

Redemption and Switching for Akaun 55 and Akaun Emas:

All EPF investors aged 55 and above who wish to perform any redemption and/or switching transactions have to submit the redemption and/or switching form to HLAM in person with original NRIC. The monies from redemption requests will be transferred directly to the investor’s bank account instead of EPF. This is due to the fact that EPF releases all control of their member’s money outside EPF when they reach the age of 55.

HLAM aims to launch the Company’s cash on-line portal by 4Q2020. Through this platform members of Akaun 55 and Akaun Emas may conduct redemption and/or switching transactions online.
