Islamic Fund HLG Dana Makmur Donates RM 20,000 to Malaysian Charity Homes

HLG Dana Makmur, known as “the Islamic Fund that gives to charity every time you invest” donates to charity homes during this holy month of fasting – Ramadan month.

 

KUALA LUMPUR – Oct 19 : In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, HLG Dana Makmur made a donation of RM 20,000 to 2 charity homes, namely Taman Didikan Anak-Anak Yatim Darul Kifayah and Rumah Amal Tengku Ampun Rahimah.

Present at the mock cheque presentation ceremony were Mr William Lean, Chief Executive Officer of HLG Capital Bhd and Mr Richard Lin, Chief Executive Officer of HLG Asset Management Sdn Bhd, who presented the cheque to representatives and beneficiaries from the charity houses.

“HLG Dana Makmur seeks to offer long-term capital growth. The fund is considered as an alternative investment to investors’ Haj Savings and is designed for medium and long term investment,” explained Richard Lin at the recent cheque presentation ceremony.

Known as “the Islamic Fund that gives to charity every time you invest,” HLG Dana Makmur continuously donates a portion of the fund’s service charge proceeds to charity homes. This is the third time the donations were presented to charity, following the first round of donations in November 2001 and the second round in October 2003. In total HLG Dana Makmur has disbursed RM70,000 to charities since launch.

Besides contributing to the charitable homes during this Ramadan month, HLG Unit Trust Bhd (HLG UT) would like to share with its investors a rewarding investment experience. The “Shopping-Shopping Hari Raya” campaign is designed specially to enhance preparations of the Hari Raya festivities. From September 15 2004 until November 15 2004, with a minimum investment of RM5,000 into HLG Dana Makmur or HLG Dana Maa’rof will be entitled to shopping vouchers, as part of the Shopping-Shopping Hari Raya campaign. Investments of more than RM30,000 into HLG Dana Munir will also be entitled to shopping voucher.

Launched in November 2001, HLG Dana Makmur is primarily an Islamic equity fund seeking to achieve consistent capital growth over the medium to long term by investing strictly in accordance with the Syariah principles. As at September 30 2004, HLG Dana Makmur’s total fund size was RM 22,580,644 with 42,609,000 units in circulation.

HLG Dana Maa’rof was launched in March 2003. It is primarily an Islamic balanced fund. The Fund invests in a mixture of equities and fixed-income securities such as money-market instruments, Private Debt Securities (PDS) and government bonds. All investments must strictly adhere to Syariah principles. As at September 30 2004, HLG Dana Maa’rof’s total fund size was RM 8,256,402 with 16,905,000 units in circulation.

HLG Dana Munir is primarily an Islamic bond fund. Launched in March 2003, the Fund invests in debt securities such as money-market instruments, private debt securities (PDS) and government bonds. All investments must strictly adhere to Syariah principles. As at September 30 2004, HLG Dana Munir’s total fund size was RM20,355,449 with 42,855,000 units in circulation.
