Who We Are
Hong Leong Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd (“HLISAM”), is an Islamic fund management company (IFMC) licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) on 18 November 2019 for the regulated activity of Islamic fund management. HLISAM was formerly known as Hong Leong Fund Management Sdn Bhd, holding a conventional fund management license which was then converted to an Islamic license. HLISAM is wholly-owned by Hong Leong Asset Management (“HLAM”), an established fund management company with more than 20 years of experience offering and managing a broad spectrum of investment solutions through equities, fixed income, money market and mixed assets.
HLISAM and HLAM are both subsidiaries of Hong Leong Capital Berhad (“HLCB”), an investment holding company that is part of Hong Leong Financial Group (“HLFG”). HLFG is the parent company of HLCB, with its subsidiaries also involved in insurance and commercial banking sector. HLISAM thrives on the business of providing Islamic investment solutions through portfolio management services for institutions and also high net worth individuals aside being appointed as the external fund manager for HLAM’s Islamic funds.
As a member of Hong Leong Group, we have the advantage of leveraging on valuable input through the Group’s diverse businesses, resources and regional experience. Hong Leong Group is based in Malaysia with diversified businesses in banking and financial services, manufacturing and distribution, property development and investments, hospitality and leisure, and principal investments with presence in North and Southeast Asia, Western Europe and the UK, North America and Oceania.
